Service Description

Whether you are a teacher, administrator, counselor or youth leader, you undoubtedly know students who need social-emotional support. In this workshop designed for educators and leaders looking to inspire educators, you will engage in activities around the 5 competencies of Social-Emotional Learning (SEL). Participants will learn how to integrate social-emotional learning in ways that support mental health, the Whole Person, and achievement. Whether you are working with teenagers or elementary students, there will be examples and breakout activities. Participants will work with thought partners to design practical SEL strategies/activities for their context, and will walk away with tools to use for school-level and classroom-level implementation. This is a 1-day workshop, with boxed lunch and an optional online assignment to receive a certificate documenting 10 hours (1.0 CEU), if proper prior authorization is obtained with the district. If participants need more credit, please consider the 2-day combined option, with one-day of Social-Emotional Learning (June 25) & one day of Student-Centered Management & Instruction (June 26). The 2-day option offers 14 hours (1.4 CEU) or 20 hours with 2 online assignments (2.0 CEU) and has a built-in discount; go back and select the other, 2-day course.
