Social-Emotional Learning ACC July 10
A Workshop for Educators & Leaders (on the campus of ACC B Building Room 202)
Service Description
Whether you are a teacher, administrator, counselor or youth leader, you undoubtedly know students who need social-emotional support. In this workshop designed for educators and leaders looking to inspire educators, you will engage in activities around the 5 competencies of Social-Emotional Learning (SEL). Participants will learn how to integrate social-emotional learning in ways that support mental health, the Whole Person, school safety and sustainable academic learning. Whether you are working with teenagers or elementary students, there will be examples and breakout activities. Participants will work with thought partners to design practical SEL strategies/activities for their context, and will walk away with tools to use for school-level and classroom-level implementation. This is a 1-day workshop, with a boxed lunch and a certificate of completion for 7 hours or the option to complete an online assignment for a total of 10 hours (1.0 CEU). Participants should check in advance with their district to see if there is a pre-approval process required to get CEU credit for external workshops. For a 2-day workshop with combined Social-Emotional Learning & Student-Centered Management & Instruction, go back to the booking menu.
