Participants learn how to create a student-centered classroom by fostering trusting relationships, and using student-centered classroom management strategies, peer models & multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS). Participants dive deep into Tier I, Tier II & Tier III management strategies & examples, and collaboratively examine & reframe class procedures to make them more student-centered. Using scenarios & case-based protocol they will collaboratively analyze problems & explore potential solutions. Participants will leave with rich ideas to use in their classroom. Certificate of completion given for participants to submit to their districts for CEU credit. This is a 1-day workshop, with boxed lunch and an optional online assignment to receive a certificate documenting 10 hours (1.0 CEU), if proper prior authorization is obtained with the district. If participants need more credit, please consider the 2-day combined option, with one-day of Social-Emotional Learning (June 25) and one day of Student-Centered Classroom Management (June 26). The other 2-day option offers 14 hours (1.4 CEU) or 20 hours with 2 online assignments (2.0 CEU). If you desire a 2-day course, go back and select the 2-day course. Whether you select a 1-2 day workshop, please complete your district's pre-approval process well in advance, if there is one, and submit the certificate provided at the conclusion of the workshop, to ensure you get credit.
